Mobile Complete Monitors What the User Sees

Operators need a viable way to monitor all the unknowns that affect service

February 14, 2006

User experience management company Mobile Complete, is using the 3GSM World Congress to launch its Video Quality Monitor.

The product enables operators and content providers to monitor and measure mobile video service quality from the end-userâ??s perspective - on handsets connected to live networks.

Handsets are distributed throughout the network geography, allowing real-time views of video quality from different parts of the coverage area 24x7. Service failures and performance degradations (blockiness, blurriness, etc) anywhere in the network are detected before they start affecting end users and alerts are fired to trigger timely intervention.

The offering gives operators and content providers the ability to do full frame capture and analysis at 30 frames per second. No software agent or emulator approach to monitoring can provide real-time, rich video analysis that is the truest view of what end-users experience on their handsets.

Faraz Syed, CEO of Mobile Complete, told the Show Daily: "Because the quality of the end-user experience is a key determinant of mobile video service success, operators need a viable way to monitor all the unknowns that affect service."

Syed went on to claim that the product is the only monitoring solution that provides the 3G community with a real-time view of what users actually see.

"Exhibiting at the 3GSM show will provide exposure to the large network operator community outside the US. We also look forward to learning about the latest industry trends and interacting with industry leaders," said Syed.
